Overcoming limits to profitable scale

DeinDeal is a leading Swiss online marketplace and the top supplier of flash sales in Switzerland, offering heavily discounted products across fashion, electronics, travel, and lifestyle.

For years, Criteo had been one of DeinDeal’s strongest performance channels, delivering both consistent scale and strong ROAS. Over time, however, scaling profitably became more difficult as the team approached the limits of their existing setup. That changed when DeinDeal launched GO campaign.

After receiving an email from Criteo introducing GO, the DeinDeal team decided to run a test with a small daily budget to see what the new campaign type could deliver. Performance quickly exceeded expectations, revealing a clear opportunity to unlock new scale.

Solution

Activating GO to simplify and scale performance

In April 2025, DeinDeal activated its first GO Campaign with the objective of maximizing conversions.

What started as a small experiment quickly became the marketplace’s default Criteo setup. As performance continued to improve, DeinDeal expanded their use of GO to support key initiatives such as Black Week promotions and scaling activity across social inventory. Today, around 90% of their total Criteo spend runs through GO campaigns.

The performance shift was immediate. GO not only matched but surpassed the results of other retargeting platforms. As a result, the DeinDeal team moved budgets back to Criteo and established GO campaigns as a core component of their marketing mix.

GO campaigns now fit seamlessly into their broader automation-first strategy across all channels. By automating cross‑channel, cross‑format optimization to maximise reach and performance, GO allows the team to spend less time managing campaigns and more time focusing on strategic decisions and profitability.

Results

Achieving record revenue and doubled ROAS

Since adopting GO, DeinDeal has significantly scaled its Criteo investment while improving efficiency. Year over year, the company increased its Criteo investment fourfold, unlocking greater scale while maintaining strong profitability, with ROAS nearly doubling from 14x to 24x.

Even in January, typically one of the slowest months of the year, performance remained strong, with ROAS increasing by 113% YoY.

The impact translated into the highest year-over-year revenue growth DeinDeal has ever seen from Criteo, proving that GO can deliver both scale and profitability at the same time.

The team has since been recommending the GO approach to peers, highlighting its simplicity, strong automation, and the outsized performance impact it delivered.
