AAA Auto is one of the largest used car dealers in the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region, operating across multiple markets with a strong regional dealership network. AAA Auto initially activated retargeting campaigns across Czechia, Slovakia, and Poland to better engage existing website visitors. However, the team wanted to expand beyond retargeting and scale new user acquisition while increasing regional traffic aligned with local dealership demand.

Criteo initially helped scale dynamic remarketing across AAA Auto’s large vehicle inventory, enabling the brand to better capitalize on existing website traffic through personalized ads tailored to shopper interest and browsing behavior.

Building on this foundation, AAA Auto expanded into a broader full-funnel strategy that combined always-on prospecting, location-based acquisition audiences, and retargeting across both the open web and social inventory.

This approach allowed the brand to continuously engage high-intent shoppers throughout the vehicle research journey while driving traffic aligned with local dealership availability and regional demand. At the same time, ongoing optimization helped scale performance while maintaining efficiency toward AAA Auto’s CPO goals.

The strategy delivered significant growth in both shopper engagement and lead generation across AAA Auto’s regional markets.

By combining acquisition and retargeting within one connected strategy, AAA Auto achieved a 240% increase in clicks on vehicle detail pages, demonstrating stronger engagement from high-intent users actively researching vehicles.

At the same time, the campaigns drove a 58% year-over-year increase in car leads, helping AAA Auto scale qualified demand while maintaining performance efficiency across markets.
