Driving efficiency during peak retail periods

Derimod, one of Türkiye’s leading fashion brands known for leather shoes, bags, and accessories, has strong seasonal activity and high conversion potential through its ecommerce channel.

With a strong focus on measurable performance and return on ad spend as its primary success metric, Derimod wanted a solution that could maximize efficiency and deliver stronger returns on investment, especially during peak seasonal periods.

Solution

Activating GO Campaigns for conversion-led growth

Derimod had previously implemented a custom retargeting strategy. To test the effectiveness of automation, the brand and their agency Inbound launched a GO Maximize Conversion campaign without immediately pausing the existing setup. During this overlap, traffic and conversions were split between campaigns, leading to inefficiencies and cannibalization.

Given that the GO campaign consistently outperformed the legacy approach with superior ROAS, Criteo advised pausing the custom campaign and maintaining only the GO initiative. Derimod now runs GO retargeting exclusively and reports high satisfaction with the outcomes.

Additionally, video ad formats were launched on their GO Campaign during Black Friday, complementing display and native placements to create a truly cross-channel experience. This integration allowed Derimod to engage shoppers across multiple touchpoints, reinforcing brand visibility and driving conversions during one of the most competitive retail periods of the year. The positive results from this activation highlight the potential of combining video with other formats to strengthen performance across the funnel.
