BlueMedia

CHALLENGE

BlueMedia provides essential services to publishers, including ad monetization and creative production. Since its origination within a publisher, BlueMedia has grown to represent leading media outlets such as 20minutos, a top-visited news site in Spain.

BlueMedia has utilized Google’s Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) framework in order to drive more mobile traffic, speed page load times, and improve the user experience. With the growing importance of Google AMP, BlueMedia was looking for ways to help publishers further monetize this important mobile inventory.

SOLUTION

BlueMedia utilizes header bidding on the web to drive additional advertising revenue for publishers, so they can continue producing high-quality content. It works with four header bidding partners, which it evaluates based on criteria such as CPM, ad quality, and latency. BlueMedia needed innovative technology partners to bring the benefits of header bidding to the engaging AMP environment.

BlueMedia turned to Criteo, a partner that is crucial to its publishers and the digital ecosystem. The decision to implement Criteo as the first bidder in AMP was due to Criteo’s brand-safe ads and an average CPM much higher than other bidders. It was fast and easy to set up Criteo Direct Bidder for AMP, and BlueMedia’s publishers immediately began earning more from AMP inventory.

“We chose to work with Criteo for AMP because of Criteo’s commitment to quality ads, and because it provides an average CPM much higher than other bidders.

There are almost no other companies within the digital advertising ecosystem that match Criteo’s level of service and quality. We feel extremely secure using Criteo’s solutions.”
